About AgriHope International Uganda

Since 2018, empowering vulnerable communities in Uganda's refugee-hosting districts

Our Story

AgriHope International Uganda (AHIU) is a National Non Govermental Organization (NNGO) established in 2018 by a team of social development experts, and formally registered under Uganda NGO Act (Cap 110) in 2021, Reg.No. 7022. AHIU’s Headquarter is in Pakelle Town Council, Adjumani District with coordination offices across Northern Uganda including Gulu and refugee-hosting districts of Lamwo, Obongi, and Yumbe.

AHIU’s interventions are rooted in Community-Driven Development Programs (CDDPs), committed to supporting community - led development projects and advocate for community rights and interests of the local people especially women, children, youth, and vulnerable groups through transformative programmes in sustainable livelihoods, education and early childhood development (ECD), health and nutrition, water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH), climate change action, and general protection (child protection, gender-based violence prevention and response including geriatric services to the elderly). Our work enlists the meaningful involvement of the target communities right from the onset to define, implement, and sustain their own solutions to poverty, climate change, and social challenges.

Our Vision

A resilient and prosperous society where every community thrives with dignity, sustainable livelihoods and equal access to health, education and protection.

Our Mission

AgriHope International Uganda exists to empower marginalized and underserved communities through intergrated interventions in climate change action, WASH and social infrastructure, innovative agricultural practices, health and nutrition, and protection, capacity building, and strategic partnerships that foster resilience, self-reliance, and sustainable growth.
